So Brian and I are gearing up for a couple weekends of events in which ymLaunch is a sponsor. We have been working on refining the product for a long period of time, and we think that we’ve done a pretty good job. However, we haven’t been able to put the product out in front of our audience enough yet. Part of that is not making time to be marketing the product, but part of it comes down to not having the time during the day to be networking with Youth Pastors.
Not having the product in front of our customers means that we continue to refine something, but we aren’t able to gather all that much feedback — in the future this will change but at the time of this writing, it is what it is. The lack of feedback means that it’s very easy to doubt the importance of the work we’re doing.
Is it going to matter?
Will this work?
Well. we should have a pretty good idea of whether or not this is could work in the next 2-3 weeks.
In a couple weeks, we’ll be sponsoring an event that should host around 250 area youth pastors, and as one of the main sponsors, we should have the opportunity to let each of them know about what we’re doing. We look at this as a GREAT opportunity.
A week later, we have a booth for Genesis which is a regional youth conference where there’s expected to be around 1500 kids.
We are looking forward to sharing what we’ve built with ymLaunch with the people that we built it for. It’s very easy to doubt your value, but if you’re working to make something easier for someone else, then it’s pretty hard to discount your value.
Also, it’s fun to put our product out there and say “hey, check this out” — it’s possible that they won’t be interested. That will be good to hear. It will be good to hear why they might be hesitant. However, we will also hear the flipside. The people who have been waiting for something like this. We are gearing up for it, and pretty soon it will be go time!
